Elias Books has skilled appellate attorneys with the knowledge necessary to deliver results for clients on appeal. Our appellate attorneys are analytical thinkers with strong writing and advocacy skills and extensive knowledge of appellate procedures and rules. Some of our appellate lawyers have served as judicial clerks, providing them with insight into how appellate courts operate and what arguments are persuasive to appellate judges. With this knowledge and expertise, our appellate attorneys work to anticipate problems, avoid pitfalls, and make appropriate choices not only during the appeal but before, during, and after trial.

Elias Books attorneys have appellate experience before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Tenth Circuit, the Oklahoma Supreme Court, the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, and the Arkansas Supreme Court.

Our attorneys handle direct appeals of trial court and intermediate appellate judgments as well as appeals of administrative actions. We have experience petitioning for writs of mandamus, preserving error at trial, and preparing and presenting post-verdict motions. We have managed appeals originating from actions before U.S. District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, Oklahoma Corporation Commission, Oklahoma Board of Equalization, Oklahoma Tax Commission, Oklahoma Court of Tax Review, Oklahoma District Courts, and Arkansas Circuit Courts.
